hi everybody, hope all is well. i'm still kickin' here in vegas. the beat goes on.....
HEY, MY VEGAS BLUES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!my dear friend, rev. art groom, who sings and plays harp and hammond organ for the moanin' blacksnakes was involved in a bad car accident which totaled his van and left him in the hospital for a week with a bunch of busted ribs and a punctured lung. needless to say, he's gonna need some financial assistance to get back on his feet. SOOO,
the las vegas blues society is donating the proceeds of their blues jam at king tut's to art's medical and living expenses. the chris tofield band will be playing with monk, who'll be hosting the lvbs jam. the jam is sat. feb. 23 and goes from 5 til 9pm, with the blacksnakes following at 10 pm. kudos to kevin tuttle, king tut's owner and blues lover for donating the cover charge money from last weeks shows to art YOU da man kevin! king tut's is located at the corner of charleston and jones. a benefit for art is being organized and will be happening march 1st at the sanddollar (spring mt. and polaris) from 12pm to ?????? should be a blast. so show your support for one of vegas' most beloved and unique blues musicians.
he's been there for you...
you know who you are.......
